How to Install Mini Track

Installing Mini Track
Roll Screen

Attach Screws to Porch Frame

Measure, pre-mark, and pre-drill screw locations on the frame with a level ruler or string to keep the screws aligned at desired location on the frame for proper channel installation. Place screws 2-in from the corners and every 8-in to 10-in evenly spaced apart. Before installing Mini Track channels, be sure to test your screws with a small piece of the channel to ensure proper installation. Do not over tighten. (Do not exceed a maximum of 40 square feet per screened in area.)

Attach Mini Track Channel to Screws

Cut your channels to desired lengths and install vertical channels first. Snap the channels over the screws using a rubber mallet, and then continue installing the horizontal channels.

Roll Screen Into Track

Roll screen into track groove with Mini Track Square spline and screen Rollerknife tool. Fiberglass screen is recommended. Start by rolling the screen into the top horizontal piece of track. After the top is rolled in, then roll the two sides and then the bottom horizontal piece of track. When screening the bottom, create screen tension by pulling down on the screen slightly to ensure a tight screen. Trim all excess screening with a utility blade or Screen Tight Rollerknife.
