The Screen Tight Story
1990
The Origin

1994
Meeting Demand
Screen Tight begins to manufacture all porch screening components and is selling products through many local lumber yards and major retailers.
1998
Reinventing the Screen Door
After listening to a customer’s feedback in the aisle of a home improvement store, the Screen Tight team begins to research to develop a brand new type of screen door — the solid vinyl screen door.
2005
Recovering from Disaster
Just five years after building a new plant in Georgetown, South Carolina, a devastating fire destroyed the manufacturing portion of the plant. Within 21 days Screen Tight was back producing product. The plant was rebuilt and dried in within 120 days.
2009 – 2012
New Porch Screening Innovations
Screen Tight develops and patents aluminum porch screening systems Fast Track and Mini Track and is awarded a patent for a method to winterizing porches with a clear plastic film. The company also begins to build wood and metal doors.
Today
Next Generation of Screening Systems
In 2017, Screen Tight develops and patents Mesh Guard and Screen Block
and receives patent for new method of extruding plastic that results in the first ever non-aluminum porch framing system — Screen Wall. In 2018, MeshGuard receives ICC approval for guardrail infill building code requirements and begins a new era of screen porch design.
